Director of Programming

Jeremiah brings over a decade of experience leading youth organizing work in Mississippi. As a high school English teacher in Rosedale, he partnered with students and families to launch the Rosedale Freedom Project. Over the years, he raised funds, built the project’s filmmaking and theater programs, and supported youth-led restorative and transformative justice efforts. He also helped organize a multi-year campaign to prevent the closure of Rosedale’s high school. Following the consolidation of the Freedom Projects, Jeremiah stepped into his current role as Director of Programming. He now leads staff training and political education, supports program assessment, and guides strategic planning. Outside of work, he organizes with the Memphis Tenants Union, represents Homes For All through Right to the City, and facilitates a weekly book club at Parchman Prison. Deeply committed to building people power, Jeremiah draws inspiration from civil rights leader Bob Moses.
